Brielle DeMirjian
(“Brielle” to friends)
is a comedian and writer based in NYC.
She is precisely 5’4” but aspires to be 5'7", and her hands are 8mm longer than the universal average. "Brielle" (I'm her friend, I can call her that) was a house performer and teacher at UCB for 10 years, where her performance was regularly considered "loud" and "while wearing boots in the summer". She can now be seen at Caveat performing in And Scene, improvising lectures in Peer Revue and ruining lives in Abolish Everything.
Brielle is also an award-winning designer at The Daily Show where she crafts topical props and creates on-screen comedic visuals to accompany the host's jokes.
Her script “Swallowed” was bought and produced by the award-winning fictional podcast The Truth—her story follows Jonah into the belly of the whale but when he prays to God for help, the voice of a different swallowed prophet responds.
She co-hosts the comedy podcast Who’s That Pokémon? where she and Pokémon expert Brandon Zelman meticulously break down every single creature of this universe. Brielle knows nothing about Pokémon, but recently has taken to Sudowoodo due to his very stupid nature.
Brielle and Mick wrote a dark comedy about the reverence of true crime called “Sweet Baby Angel”.
A dark comedy where a painfully ordinary woman believes that the only way for her to achieve greatness is to get murdered by a serial killer.
Rated in the top 4% of scripts on The Blacklist.
“The dark humor is what makes this story shine, with a tone both manic and eerie.”
- The Blacklist
“…a silly, canny comedy that takes the absurdity of true crime culture to the extreme.”
